KOMONO X Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp 2020
After a successful first edition we renewed our partnership with the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. Three master students created an eyewear capsule linked to their personal work. The result is an outspoken collection that bolsters the fresh vision of tomorrow’s top designers.
For centuries, Antwerp has been the home to innovative fashion: from intricate lace to the game-changing Antwerp Six. Today, the city remains key within the global fashion scene with the Royal Academy as main incubator for new talent and innovative design.
Due to COVID restrictions, this year’s show was not possible in the traditional format with a live runway show. Instead, the Academy choose to create a fully digital experience to immerse the audience in the digital world of the students.
